David fell in love with my daughter, Elizabeth. He should have, she was extremely beautiful in her day—the prettiest girl in Trenton in fact. Quite a catch. But David was the catch for us.!! He and I helped create the Trenton School for Boys. Alex Hamilton sent his kids here — that was pretty good, but of course, we had faculty right from King’s College — Princeton to you. He and I decided this church should donate it’s bell —after all, a good ringer should have a chance to peel every day to get those lazy boys into class. We could ring it all Sunday and these Trentonians wouldn’t come to church… so we figured…. well, you get the idea.
