Our “Talking Cemetery” will offer the visitor the chance to scan QR codes on the graves or memorial tablets to hear interpreters/re-enactors tell the stories of their owners, from as close to a ‘first-person’ perspective as we can interpret from some 200 years away.
Our cemetery is more than just our “6-feet-under” interpretations, but includes the botanical history of plants that have been brought to North America over the last two centuries, since 1804, when Pere-Lachaise Cemetery in Paris introduced the concept of a “back to Nature Meditation Garden.” Here you can discover a growing list of examples of our plantings.
